Do brand logos need to be registered with the U.S. Patent Office (USPTO)?
No, the logo you intend to display on the call screen does not need to be registered with the USPTO. In the event the logo is not registered with a third-party trademark registry like the USPTO or equivalent, other inspection is required to verify ownership or common law rights to the call logo. Such documentation may include proof of use of the logo in the public domain, history or a timeline of use of the logo, etc.
If you have sub-accounts with parent and sub-entity relationships, the company Commio has a direct contractual relationship with must submit the business information for each individual sub-entity. The company will need to procure the required verification documentation from each sub-account it represents and wants to onboard into the BCID ecosystem and pass that documentation along through Commio to Numeracle, our verification partner.
