Say Goodbye to Spam Calls & SMS: Report Robocalls Easily with Commio

Mark Speer

Anyone with a phone knows that illegal robocalls and unwanted text messages are a major issue. The average American receives more than a dozen such calls a month, and even more texts—not to mention the billions of dollars lost each year to related fraud.

At Commio, we understand your frustration! Illicit communications are a huge problem for legitimate telecom providers, as well. Just a few of the ways we and other providers work to minimize fraudulent calls and texts include:

  • Proactively vetting prospects and getting to know upstream carriers as part of “Know Your Customer
  • Utilizing applications and processes to help pinpoint questionable traffic and unusual traffic patterns

We Can’t Do It Without You

While the industry and Commio are doing whatever we can to minimize illegal communications, bad actors have a huge financial incentive to keep on finding workarounds. And while we do our best at Commio to ensure that customers use our phone numbers responsibly, many of them use these numbers in support of their own customers. In total, Commio has over 10 million phone numbers to manage and monitor.

We need your help in this never-ending battle!

Have you seen any potentially fraudulent activity from a Commio phone number? Did you receive a call or text from a phone number you think is on our network? Please take down any details you can capture, such as the date, time, and any caller information. Then, please fill out this form as soon as possible so we can investigate the issue. The more you can tell us, the easier it is to identify the perpetrator. If you provide us with a valid email address, we’ll send you a follow-up.

If you are a member of law enforcement or other governmental agency, send your request to legal@commio.com.

Simply put, illegal calling and texting is bad business! But with billions of calls and texts traversing the cloud every day, we all need to work together to minimize illicit activity—please and thank you.
